Butter cake has quietly become a ritual in our home — the kind of dessert that marks moments without needing an occasion. It's the cake I make when friends come over, the one that turns a simple evening into something warm and memorable. Over time, it's become part of our rhythm: birthdays, late-night conversations, celebrations big and small. Friends started asking for it again and again, then insisting I bring it to every gathering, and eventually nudging me to share it beyond our table.
So this cake is my invitation to you. My hope is that it becomes part of your moments too — the laughter around the kitchen, the pause after the first bite, the feeling of being together. Wrapped at room temperature: 7–10 days. In the freezer, wrapped tight: 3–4 months. To serve after freezing, thaw covered for 2–3 hours at room temp. Best served a bit warm.
